A Legal Topic Checklist

This checklist assists clients to identify legal topics that apply in their personal circumstances and provides them with information about those issues that will be helpful, especially when preparing to meet with their lawyer for the first time.

Client Survey About Unbundled Services

Have you worked with a lawyer who provided you with unbundled legal services in a family law matter?

Dr. Rachel Birnbaum at King’s University College, Western University is interested in hearing from clients who have used unbundled services.  For Ontario clients, you can complete the online survey link below and you can also speak to me about your experiences more broadly. Any telephone interviews will be kept strictly confidential and any information reported will be anonymous.

Dr. Birnbaum can be contacted by email at: rbirnbau@uwo.ca  or by phone at: 1-800-265-4406, Ext. 4431 or 519-433-3491, Ext. 4431.

Thank you for visiting the Ontario’s Family Law Limited Scope Services Project website.

The Ontario Family Law Limited Scope Services Project’s aim is to improve access to family justice for middle and lower income Ontarians by increasing the use of limited scope retainers, legal coaching and summary legal counsel in family law cases.

The Project facilitates access to and use of these services through the creation of this website hosting a province-wide roster of trained lawyers willing and able to provide such services. Prospective clients are able to search this website by location, type of service and service provider.

Please direct any questions, comments or concerns to Helena Birt at info@FamilyLawLSS.ca
